THE PURAXIS STANDARD

Every batch earns
its purity claim.

We don't issue a generic COA and call it done. Each batch undergoes individual RP-HPLC analysis, mass-spectrometry identity confirmation, and sequence verification — then we publish the results publicly.

The 4-Stage Verification Protocol

01

Reversed-Phase HPLC

Each batch is dissolved and run through a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography column. The chromatogram peak area integration measures the peptide fraction against known reference standards. Purity is reported as area percentage.

Standard: USP <621> · Column: C18 · Detection: UV 220nm
02

Mass-Spectrometry Identity

After HPLC, the eluent undergoes electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) or MALDI-TOF. This confirms the molecular weight matches the target peptide within 1 Da tolerance — ruling out sequence errors or substituted amino acids.

Method: ESI-MS or MALDI-TOF · Tolerance: ±1 Da
03

Amino Acid Sequence Verification

Selected batches undergo Edman degradation or tandem MS/MS fragmentation to confirm the exact amino acid sequence in correct N→C terminal order. This step verifies sequence integrity beyond mass alone.

Method: MS/MS fragmentation pattern analysis
04

COA Publication

Results are compiled into a Certificate of Analysis with batch number, testing date, purity result, and instrument metadata. The COA is published at a unique URL tied to the batch ID and linked via QR code on every product shipment.

Format: PDF · URL: puraxis.com/coa/[batch-id]

Transparency isn't a feature.
It's the minimum standard.

The cosmetic peptide market has a transparency problem. Generic COAs, undisclosed concentrations, and unlabeled sequences are commonplace. Puraxis exists to fix that — because formulators and serious skincare users deserve to know exactly what they're working with.
